As senior hospital administrator, I led security and transportation functions for Sinai Health System (Mount Sinai Hospital, Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital, Sinai Children’s Hospital, Sinai Community Institute, and affiliated clinics). Oversaw team of 100 security and transportation professionals in a Level I trauma center environment. Administered service contracts totaling $3.5m annually.• Restructured Security Department from dysfunctional “hybrid” program to streamlined chain-of-command. Delivered $150k annualized cost savings, while increasing number of supervisory personnel and improving service delivery.• Led successful transition to new security services provider by spearheading RFP process from drafting RFP document to negotiating and executing contract. Reduced costs $110K and secured value-add incentives from preferred provider proposal. • Identified life-threatening risk of failing legacy card access system. Led steering committee for major capital project to replace system inclusive of 5000+ new ID badges and 200 card readers.• Administered successful, finding-free Joint Commission triennial surveys at Mount Sinai Hospital and Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. Authored new security management plan and conducted annual evaluations.• Instituted “Code Silver” Active Shooter Policy. In response to threat of gun violence against hospitals and healthcare workers, wrote policy in line with U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security guidelines. Coordinated full-scale exercises with local law enforcement and public health agencies.

MTC Certified Assessor.• Re-strategized and realigned security culture on best practices to drive substantial improvements and assure quality security operations.
