My adventures have taken me from Chicago to The White House to the Arizona desert. For 20 years I have been privileged to lead security and guest service programs at world-renowned institutions including Mayo Clinic, University of Chicago, and Northwestern Medicine among others. The majority of my career has been focused on healthcare security, serving in diverse environments from safety net hospitals in vulnerable communities to large academic medical centers. We must end the silence toward violence in healthcare. I am often brought in to help 1) build a new security program from the ground up; 2) fix a broken security program; and 3) sustain service excellence through employee engagement and continuous daily improvement. Through these experiences I have been recognized as an author, educator, and speaker at the national and international levels.

Oversaw team of 100 security and transportation professionals in a Level I trauma center environment. Administered service contracts totaling $3.5m annually.• Restructured Security Department from dysfunctional “hybrid” program to streamlined chain-of-command.
