About Scott Bond

Thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Scott Bond and I'm a lifelong sales leader and people first leader. How can I prove this? I was flipping used video games in the neighborhood at 8 years old, and I got into leadership only two years into my career post-college. Sales and people have always been in my blood. I've always found my happiness in identifying and developing talent in the workplace. All of my best success stories revolve around being able to help grow people to their full potential. I know that revenue and metrics come as a result of leading with trust, respect, empathy, and a focus on what motivates individuals first. You can't help motivate and inspire someone if you don't truly know what truly brings them joy. I'm passionate about telling stories through my writing, whether that is the idea for a new product or process, or writing here on LinkedIn. I believe in the Amazon rule of writing narratives as I believe true change can be driven with the written word; not fancy slides. I started writing at a young age and I continue today on LinkedIn, Patreon, Medium, and I even self-published a NY Times (worst selling) book about the things I see in the workplace called Office Fiction. For a brief time, my second book, "It Probably Doesn't Fucking Matter" was on the best seller list on Amazon.I've been known to speak on a few stages over the years but my favorite stage is right next to my leadership team and helping support them. There are a few podcasts and press clippings out there with me on them, but the truth is I'm not a fan of the spotlight. I'd rather have the glory given to my team as without them, I'm nothing. The media business helped me get my start, but my time at Zillow Group forever shaped me. I hold deep emotions for all of my career stops and the people who were involved in them. I was recruited to move to Dubai in early 2022 and it's further expanded my knowledge and challenged me in completely new ways. I was able to work with over 40+ nationalities which gave me such a new perspective on how to coach, lead, support, and address a team. I'm so thankful for my International experience as a leader. Today, I have the privilege of building the US operation for Rennie, a Canadian real estate services company. Outside of work I love to travel, you can see me at Starbucks every morning getting a cold brew, and I'm always attempting to start a new book.
