I was promoted to Service Coordinator with added responsibilities of running a cell consisting of two service bays and more in-depth interaction with both customers and the shops sales and supervisory personnel. As Service Coordinator I was responsible for overall quality of work and schedule progression within my cell. Customer interaction included informing the customer of the status of their vehicle repairs, updating them on completion times for the work and discussing any complication or the need for any additional work discovered during the repairs. The need for additional work was also coordinated with the sales staff to ensure proper billing. Finally, as Service Coordinator it was my responsibility to turn the completed vehicle over to the customer, reviewing any pertinent information concerning our repairs, thanking them for their business and asking for them to return the next time they required tire repair or replacement.

I started as a Service Tech (ST). My responsibilities included raising/lowering each vehicle safely, removing the wheel/tire assembly, rotating/balancing/changing the assembly following the provided work order, torquing the vehicle. My responsibilities as Crew Chief (CC) included all responsibilities as a ST as well as pulling stock for the incoming vehicle, pulling vehicles into the shop, and beginning to work on the vehicle until a ST took over.
