Responsible for the overall vision, leadership, direction and strategies associated with the planning, delivery and management of Sirius Data Centers. Lead Network Services team’s solutions and capabilities that support the business goals, objectives, strategies and operations. Manage Network and Security services that support customers’ needs in new multi-tenant data center. Interface with client and internal organizations to develop service architecture for new and existing products and services based on technical and business requirements. Balance multiple stakeholder needs while maintaining an enterprise wide view. Manage and negotiate vendor relationships to enable solutions meeting customer connectivity and cloud requirements. Develop and control budgets and forecasts to support business needs, goals and objectives. Lead the configuration and execution of network, compute and storage systems local to the data center.

Responsible for managing the network and security services to support customer needs in new multi-tenant data center. Drive definition and execution of technical services and strategies that provide the data center with highly reliable, secure, flexible and cost effective networking services. Responsible for partnering closely with key customer, business and IT team members to plan, implement, manage and support capabilities to successfully address network services requirements.

Responsible for WAN, LAN, and wireless engineering functions supporting global exchange network in 12 countries. Provided leadership and direction on key initiatives. Defined and executed technical strategies supporting business imperatives. Mentored and developed teams responsible for creating solution architectures. Successfully managed cross-functional projects consisting of team members across multiple disciplines, including Linux, UNIX, Windows and Database. Reviewed and approved all designs integrated into network made up of 2000+ devices. Keen understanding of how the network integrates with other divisions to achieve corporate objectives efficiently. Managed complex capital and expense budget and achieved several million dollars in savings. Interfaced with manufacturer business units to influence product design and direction. Participated directly in creation of Requests for Proposal for external vendors. Led team of six engineers located in Chicago, New York, London, Belfast and Singapore.

Responsible for global data communications for internal and electronic trading applications and Network Operations. Evaluated and approved hardware and carrier vendor solutions. Partnered with business leaders to define and execute the strategic technology initiatives. Accountable for project planning and developing the capital and operating budget. Defined technology roadmaps and ensured the successful execution of the project portfolio. Significantly influenced team goals, policies, and procedures. In depth understanding of CME customers, competitors and industry issues, and directed the team accordingly. Recognized as subject matter expert of network providers and telecommunications vendors and provided the division with information to resolve issues and make decisions. Led team of 16 engineers.

Responsible for all aspects of the WAN Engineering and Network Operations departments including staff, budgeting, purchasing, software and vendor selection, regulatory compliance, process and methodology development, and strategic planning. Utilized technology effectively and strategically to improve service levels while reducing costs. Strengthened and enhanced network aspects of the CME infrastructure and support system. This includes the new high availability data center, resilient wide area network, centralized support and tracking, and many other service related solutions. Led team of 13 engineers.
