I work with a teacher and another education associate and we worth with about ten special needs students helping them with everything from increasing their vocabulary to improving math, reading, writing, etc. skills to other things like P.E.

Worked as a residential assistant support staff with a 25-year-old man with mental illness, mental retardation and other ailments, living with him on weekends, providing him with medication, modeling good behavior and keeping him on task.

Ran an after-care program for about 11 students ranging in age from 3 to 10, as part of a summer camp.

As a paraprofessional at Job Development Center worked 1-on-1 with a 20-year-old deaf, autistic student with Down Syndrome, modeling behavior, keeping him on task, disciplining him when appropriate.

As a reporter, covered the Washington County Board of Education and other subjects, on topics ranging from elections to test anxiety to education trends. Wrote about 10 stories a week.

Working as a local government reporter wrote about 10 stories each week.
