My product management role required years of regular interactions with nearly all department heads and detailed interactions with key employee-level staff to manage many critical ERP system inputs. These personal interactions at all levels of the company provided me with an unusually detailed understanding of information flow and information systems from a business and marketing perspective. After numerous interactions, I learned to understand the needs, frustrations, and pain of employees and managers in many roles in the company. This acquired "corporate empathy" combined with my diverse experience, analytical capabilities, and education creates a mixture of skills that is highly effective at bringing multiple departments together to solve challenging enterprise-wide problems.
