Worked in a team of three to manage an interpretive historical collection of around 80,000 artifacts. Collaborated on research, interpretive, and outreach projects internally, as well as with individual parks and other TPWD programs. Assisted with research projects from external historians and researchers. Managed the Re:discovery and Portfolio artifact and DAM databases. Cataloged/Digitized thousands of items, including many photographs.Increased the program’s social media following tenfold. Conducted outreach with visitors when working on-site at parks.Managed a large project transferring thousands of objects and documents to the Texas Historical Commission on a tight deadline.Managed numerous interns and short term employees.

Became a volunteer recruitment representative for the agency to help educate the public about employment opportunities with TPWD. Participated in several recruitment events, in person and digitally. Often spoke specifically about Cultural Resources work.

Along with one other volunteer moderator, I fostered a community of museum professionals on this interactive social media site from 20 to nearly 12,000 subscribers, making us the largest online community for museum professionals. This involves making posts, interacting with the community, and planning online events.

• Created a new location management system for the collections storage room, as there had been none previously.• Updated the Re:Discovery collections database. I entered approximately 3500 records from paper records. Each of these records was entered and checked. Inconsistencies, mistakes and issues were either fixed, or noted and marked for later review.• Created prioritized list of actions to be taken with the collection. • Organized a collection of 820 mounted photographs into 11 categories to be deaccessioned and sent to other institutions. • Scanned several volumes of Fallingwater historic maintenance documents and put them into archival housing. • Facilitated a social media Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the social media site Reddit.com. This was viewed by 15,000 to 30,000 different users worldwide
