About Scott Clark

A B2B business builder. A tradesperson with university degree, business owner and corporate experience. Skills to plan and sell strategy. Motivated to learn technology and build a communication bridge to customers.Battery Works Australia Pty Ltd brought all my experience to bear. Technology advances left the company in a dead end, so we had to reinvent the business. With support from the owner I was able to create a clear business plan with simple goal posts, leverage strengths, create a point of difference, but also develop barriers to entry, It was the path less travelled, but directly to a growth market - battery energy storage. We had to be national. My job was to make it happen.Thin Section Australia was a side-hustle B2B providing geological sample preparation services. I identified an out-dated industry desperate for better service. Old school phone sales skills combined with digital marketing and a customer focussed solution delivered. Starting at zero we quickly developed a customer base including small business, universities, mining giants and government departments. Battery World delivered an education in the retail franchising. It was my first experience where there was significant personal investment and I was responsible for everything. The greenfield site store was repeatedly rewarded with a 5-star rating. While making money, it couldn't meet my financial goals.Intellection was a local mining technology manufacturer spun-off from the CSIRO. The primary product was mineral analysis technology called QEMSCAN (Quantitative Evaluation of Minerals by Scanning). They were also a distributor of Struers laboratory equipment and consumables. I self-learned the technologies of both parts of the business to provide an APAC marketing coordinator role. After returning from 6 years in the United States I worked in the branded merchandise division of screen printing giant - Colorcorp. The company supplied some of the world's best known automotive and alcohol brands such as Castrol, Caterpillar, Bundaberg Rum, XXXX and Mack. As Account Manager I was responsible for creating and selling ranges for the automotive brands. As Event Manager I operated a national calendar of temp and perm 'pop-up' stores at large scale events for all brands. In my final year of college I created an internship between Franklin University and a Honda factory Indy Car team. I was rewarded with early graduation and a full-time position with Tasman Motorsports. The marketing agency introduced me to world standard brand management, communications and logistics.

Listed skills include Management, Strategic Planning, Microsoft Office, Customer Service, and 23 others.
