As Vice President, I oversaw delivery of 45+ athletic events per year across 9 distinct brands. My expertise in brand partnerships and lean management boosted EBITDA by 20% in 3 years. I’m also proud of how I improved my team’s productivity by breaking down marketing silos and implementing a brand-centric model for the organization.During this time, I expanded my expertise to other athletic disciplines outside of cheerleading and dance. I had the opportunity to consult with Olympic gymnast John Macready and FIG Sports Director Steve Butcher with the OZONE Invitational, a 3-day national gymnastics competition for 3,000+ athletes. This was a unique opportunity that helped me grow as a leader and a professional in the events space. Here are a few more highlights from this role: - Designed a new lighting and sound system that rigged to the ground instead of the ceiling, which saved time on event-set up. We also saved money on equipment rentals, since we purchased our own rigging system. - Cut transportation costs in half by in-housing our equipment shipping operations. We purchased our own vehicles and contracted drivers through a supplier partnership to move equipment to and from events. - Launched a new leadership series for staff members during the off-season that featured motivational speakers, industry presentations, and training exercises.

For several years, I held dual leadership roles in event operations and brand management. I planned and executed 10-12 annual athletic events for up to 30,000 attendees, including 5 high-profile Worlds Bid competitions. Organizing and promoting these events meant collaborating across a wide network of sports commissions, athletic teams, vendors, and media outlets. I worked tirelessly with our partners to create amazing event atmospheres for the athletes, coaches, and spectators. As brand manager, I reimagined and reintroduced the Athletic Championships brand and positioned our events as the pinnacle of athletic performance. At the time, our competitors were producing cheerleading events focused on production value rather than athletic competitions. We differentiated ourselves by hosting streamlined events that showcased the athlete’s abilities. This allowed us to deliver world-class event experiences at a much lower price than our competitors.

I managed a $7M sales pipeline and coordinated logistics for multiple athletic events and competitions. The relationships and the customer skills I developed continue to serve me well as a business leader. One of my most significant achievements was helping build and implementing a rebate program for select U.S. cheerleading and dance gyms, ultimately returning $20M over the course of my sales timeline to our Customers.
