I am a technology company General Counsel with an engineering background and legal experience that ranges from the courtroom to the boardroom. As Mailchimp’s first-ever General Counsel, I served on the company’s Executive Leadership Team during a time of tremendous employee and customer growth. My role included advising business leaders on data privacy, AI, compliance, HR, and corporate transactional matters, while also creating and managing a talented in-house legal department. I led Mailchimp’s legal team through the private company’s 2021 sale to publicly-traded Intuit, which was the largest-ever sale of a self-funded technology company. Prior to joining Mailchimp, I was a trial attorney on technology and intellectual property cases in the Federal Courts and before the International Trade Commission, as well as a registered patent attorney.
