Zoot is a leading provider of credit decision and loan origination applications for the financial services industry. I develop the next generation of tools for defining custom client solutions. These products allow them to aggregate data from multiple sources, including credit bureaus and public records, and apply complex business rules for credit decisions. The client UI is Java Swing based, and the deployed platforms are distributed across multiple JVMs. This project makes heavy use of XML, Oracle, MySQL.

ClickFox's innovative analytics solutions make the BigData collected in customer interactions useful to companies by translating interactions from multiple service points into an intuitive visualization that reveals quickly and easily what customers actually do and why. Primarily worked on algorithms for searching large data sets based on user input that conformed to an ANTLR grammar. Extended JUnit to more easily test the algorithms with large data sets, allowing us to track progress of accuracy and performance over time.

Core Architecture team member, setting technology direction and architecture for Stream, the next generation of Insurance products. Stream is a complete rewrite of StoneRiver’s Property & Casualty Solutions, developed over the last 4 years, currently being rolled out for a number of clients. Individual products are deployed on Mule ESB in an SOA architecture. The UI is Adobe Flex with Blaze DS for marshaling objects to and from the middle tier. Web Services are built on Mule Services with Apache CFX. It is highly scalable, flexible and extensible while retaining cross platform compatibility. We currently deploy to clients on WebSphere and JBoss on AIX and Windows.

First Data Government Solutions, contracts exclusively with the IRS to provide the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS). My role put me at the center of designing high volume, secure, transactional Web sites and Web services for Federal tax payment systems. Collectively these systems processed 2.4 Trillion in tax payments last year. The systems on which I worked are tax payment website (eftsp.com), and web services for bulk payments from banks and businesses

StudentUniverse, www.studentuniverse.com, is a successful provider of low cost student travel, in addition to providing co-branded student fares for Orbitz and Travelocity, among other partners. I joined the company in its infancy to build and lead a highly effective development team of nine engineers, developing all websites, business software infrastructure, databases and internal applications. Successfully pioneered the company's move from a heavy reliance on 3rd party software, which proved over time to be unreliable and unmaintainable, to a complete J2EE multi-tiered solution written entirely in house. Saved the company hundreds of thousands in licensing fees by utilizing open source technologies such as JBoss App Server, Hibernate, Linux, Spring framework, and PostgreSQL database.
