Scott joined WTW's Private Equity & Transactional Solutions group in November 2017. His role involves developing private equity and venture capital business opportunities nationally and coordinating service delivery for multinational and domestic acquirers of North American assets. Scott has experience advising financial and strategic acquirers on matters related to M&A insurance due diligence services, representations and warranties (R&W) insurance, contingent risk insurance, and other portfolio company management services, including management liability and portfolio company and fund indemnification issues. He aims to use his experience as an M&A lawyer to help insureds purchase suitable, industry-specific coverage and encourage insurers to act reasonably and in good faith when claims arise. Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he also minored in Environmental Economics and Law and obtained a Certificate in Global Business Culture with a European Specialization. He later earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School, graduating with Honors as a Kirkland & Ellis Scholar.
