• Designed, built, and led the enterprise security function and global security program for 8,400 team members, 160 distribution centers, and a total of 223 corporate sites. Maintained a focus on driving world-class procedures and programs that positively impact the security of personnel and property across Veritiv’s footprint.• Created business cases for hiring and define new position descriptions as the security program evolved. • Conducted a review of all security assessments to identify sites with higher risk security deficiencies. Built a work plan to increase compliance for designated sites from less than 10% to 80%, and completed all security upgrades two months ahead of schedule and 25% below budget.• Developed security systems standards and led an RFP process that reduced operational expenditures by more than 50%. Partnered with Indirect Sourcing to establish a multi-disciplined team that identified and selected a preferred vendor partner. This initiative will provide improved service at significantly lower monitoring costs.• Built-out a Preventing Workplace Violence Program, incorporating a multi-disciplined threat assessment team, an employee resource guide, cognitive behavioral therapy training, and active shooter training.

• Developed, implemented, and managed the enterprise-wide security strategy for over 50,000 employees working in 150 countries. Managed one direct report and led a network of local site security leaders.• Established long and short-term security objectives by serving on executive-level committees to advance corporate policy in the areas of enterprise risk management, intellectual property, and business development.• Following the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, where three GE P&L headquarters were located, conducted post-action reviews. Updated crisis management procedures, based on findings, to address identified areas of improvement. Following the update of CR procedures, led a global crisis management exercise.• Established a formal security program and integrated 17,000 employees in 70 countries to support the post-acquisition integration of Alstrom in 2015. Conducted a full enterprise assessment and developed a strategic implementation plan. Completed the project on time, meeting all KPIs, and under budget.

• Recruited to build the global security organization for Zoetis, a spinoff company and former subsidiary of Pfizer. Led a strategically aligned, full-enterprise security program for more than 10,000 employees in 80 markets. • Established and led a global security team and Site Security Officers located across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.• Designed and launched an intelligence and threat-based Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), which provided 24/7 crisis response, executive protection, and employee travel security.• Collaborated with the CIO to build an enterprise-wide information security program. Developed and promoted security policies and procedures for manufacturing, research, distribution, and commercial operations.

• Directed strategic security for Pfizer in the Asia-Pacific region, encompassing more than 100 sites and 30,000 employees. Improved and expanded the delivery of the security program, conducted threat and response assessments, and maintained a continuous flow of information and event assessments within the region.• Led an operations budget, managed regionally placed Security Managers, and oversaw more than 100 indirect reports located across India, Pakistan, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and China.• Integrated the security function and team into the business process and gathered input and secured buy-in from business leaders in all APAC markets.

• Stood up the newly formed Office of International Affairs under the Department of Homeland Security. Directed 62 ICE Attaches and Senior Representatives in 39 countries. Coordinated international relationships and supported investigations with foreign law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
