In short, BIL is an open, self-organizing, emergent, arts, science, society and technology unconference inspired by the highly-restrictive TED Conference. In many ways, BIL is the analog to TED. While it started out being held near the famous TED Conference during the trailing weekend, it has grown to a stand alone unconference anywhere self-organizing altruistic change makers consciously come together.

As the Director of The Madison Galleries back in the late 80's, I was introduced to Francois Malespine and eventually curated two shows for his art at the gallery; additional shows for Francois took place at other art venues, such as Dyansen Galleries, Art Expo California and Studio Gallery in Burbank, CA; including an exhibition sponsored by Greenpeace. Eventually, I would travel to his home and spent time with Francois and his family in the south of France. There are ten original pieces of his art still in the United States and I want to introduce him to a new generation of art lovers.

Currently the creator of a new animation series in development.Appearing as himself in a documentary and public service film about his personal journey participating in the Be The Match Program at City of Hope and being selected from the registry to become a bone marrow donor that would eventually save a life.
