I have over 29 years of experience in engineering and architecture, the majority of which has been spent in technical-leadership roles leading teams of software engineers, application architects, and system analysts. I have worked in several industries including automotive, telecommunications, and insurance. I have worked with a number of technologies including AWS cloud technologies, Generative AI, NodeJs, TypeScript, .NET (C#, VB.NET), Java/J2EE, C++, web technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS, JQuery, JSON), database technologies (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata), Ab Initio, Adobe Flex, and MicroStrategy. I have experience with a number of development methodologies including Agile, Essential Unified Process (EssUP), Lean/Kanban, and Waterfall. I have given presentations on Agile in many venues including: large groups (100+) at Travelers, Hartford Society for Information Managers (SIM), as well as several New England Universities. I also presented at the Agile 2008 conference in Toronto, Agile 2009 in Chicago, MicroStrategy World 2010 in Las Vegas, Agile 2014 in Orlando, and Agile 2015 in D.C.
