Sift develops solutions to enhance digital trust and safety, using machine learning and data analysis to combat fraud and secure clients' digital interactions.As Director of Product, I joined Sift’s 10-person Product department to I lead the product strategy from ideation to delivery, stabilize the team, standardize best practices, and foster collaboration. Reporting to the CTO, I managed a team of 10, including Product Managers and a Data Visualization Lead.I improved product alignment and communication by implementing KPIs, standardizing weekly reporting, and establishing a customer research repository. This led to a comprehensive roadmap aligned with strategic themes. By collaborating with Sales Engineering, Implementation, and Client Success teams to remove barriers and establish standard playbooks, I decreased the time to value for new customers by 50%.Additionally, I defined pricing and packaging improvements to align billing with customer value. I led efforts with Product Marketing, Finance, Legal, Sales, and Engineering to standardize billing for new customers, simplify contracting processes, and define good/better/best packages for future implementation.

Truckstop makes SaaS products and marketplace solutions for the trucking/freight industry. With a $1B valuation, they received a majority investment from ICONIQ Capital in 2019. Soon after, I came in as a Senior Product Manager and grew to lead the product function. As Senior Director, I drove overall product strategy and roadmaps for the company’s portfolio of products and consolidated and integrated a collection of applications, so users could access all products through truckstop.com. A member of the Senior Leadership Team, I oversaw a team of 21 product professionals.I led design and launch of new Mobile Apps with more than 100,000 users, addressing stability issues and consolidating separate legacy Load Board and Factoring apps into one, leading to a 160% increase in Factoring revenue. Product enhancements to the flagship Load Board product increased its NPS from single digits to 50+, and the Rapid Prototyping and Experimentation process I introduced increased the number of project experiments 5X.

I was promoted with three key targets: 1) lead product work to resolve years of technical debt related to a monolithic legacy codebase; 2) define strategy for a new platform for the entire portfolio; and 3) rebuild the flagship product for better performance, stability, and user experience. I grew my team to 17 people and regularly collaborated with VPs of Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success, and the Directors of Data Science and User Experience. Highlights included laying out the strategy and roadmap to re-platform and rebuild core workflows for the Load Board product, working with the Executive Team for strategic planning. I also introduced a new Continuous Discovery Practice for product managers, product owners, and UX Designers, as well as a phased launch process focused on user outcomes that used rapid testing. When Covid hit, I led the transition of the product team to working remotely without issues.

I defined and drove delivery of a new premium broker subscription product, Predictive Carrier Sourcing, and revised the Product Operating Model by adding a step to ensure that our target customers truly wanted a solution.

Kount provides SaaS fraud protection solutions to companies like Staples and Brooks Running, using AI to evaluate eCommerce transactions for fraud.Under a new SVP, I was given ownership of the roadmap for enhancements and maintenance to the flagship legacy eCommerce solution, Kount Complete, and launched an entirely new customer experience for faster and more accurate manual fraud reviews.I also defined and drove adoption of a standardized priority scoring model that reduced the backlog of requests more than 70%.

As we grew, I was promoted to lead the Product Management function, scaling the team to 7 and adding the first UI/UX Designer and Content Strategist, and managing all roadmaps and strategy.I led the effort to redesign the user experience for fraud management, streamlining it to be faster and more accurate, and working with UI/UX on research, testing, and iterative design. When I presented our plans and unveiled the prototype to hundreds of Kount customers at the company’s annual summit, I got a standing ovation. I also introduced a Continuous Discovery Practice, recruiting logged-in users for real-time interviews and feedback.
