Scott Downing is a Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ based in MCF’s Lexington office. He joined MCF in 2015. Prior to that, Scott worked for another independent financial planning firm in Lexington. Scott began his financial services career in 2006 with Vanguard at their corporate headquarters in Malvern, PA where he worked in the High Net-Worth Retirement division. Scott graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.Scott is originally a native of Maysville, KY, but now makes his home in the Hamburg area of Lexington. His wife Allison is a native of St. Louis, MO, and she works as a teacher at The Lexington School. They have a son and a daughter who are twins.Scott is past Board President for The Lexington Dream Factory, a graduate of Leadership Lexington, Past Chair of Leadership Lexington Alumni Association, board member of the UK Fayette County Alumni Association, and an active member and volunteer at Southland Christian Church.
