In my second year at Butterfly, I have continued pushing forward our integration projects, including:- Developed custom objects and worked with our data team to bring data from our custom cloud application into Salesforce- Supported switching from Celigo to Boomi for our integrations between Salesforce and NetsuiteI have also continued to execute a number of smaller projects for the Sales organization, and have taken more ownership of Salesforce development and deployment, as well as working to further build out the the team.

Upon joining Butterfly, I implemented new processes for collaborative development and deployment to meet our SOX reporting and auditing requirements, including:- Git and VS Code for developing changes- Jira, Git, and Strongpoint for tracking and approving changes- Git Actions and SFDX for deploying to production and our two main development sandboxesI worked with our cloud development team to build a system for automating software service provisioning from Salesforce Orders, and collaborated with other systems teams to develop a plan to re-architect several other key integrations.I have also completed or made progress on a number of smaller projects, such as:- Implemented a Trigger framework to use one Trigger per Object along with Trigger Handlers to delegate tasks to Apex classes- Designed and developed a custom process for calculating quota attainments- Replaced several cumbersome Process Builders with Apex code

As our team continued to grow, I shifted towards solving technical problems and mentoring more junior developers, switching from managerial duties to a principle individual contributor role. Some of the projects we have executed in this period of time:- Implementation of Salesforce CPQ- Custom integrations between Salesforce CPQ and Zuora- Improved development / deployment processes using Github and VS Code- Apex REST APIs to provide data and interaction with our custom external systemsI have also taken a lead role in architecting solutions, reviewing code, and bringing my extensive experience within the company to bear on obscure or little known areas of automation when they encounter errors or require revision.

As Senior Manager, I hired two additional Salesforce developers and led the CRM team's efforts in two major milestones: going public with an IPO, and executing our first acquisition of another company

As CarGurus grew, so did our reliance on Salesforce and the need for additional development expertise. I took on interviewing, hiring and mentoring two additional developers, while also continuing to build enhancements to the system.

As the first Salesforce.com Engineer hired at CarGurus, my first couple of years focused on the following:- Taking over User configuration and administration- Improving existing reporting and automation within Salesforce- Replacing automation built by Java engineers to manipulate Salesforce data via API calls to take advantage of Salesforce's native platform capabilities- Enhancing integrations with custom CarGurus application

Almost a year into my employment at Trusteer, we were acquired by IBM. My priorities shifted towards managing and executing the transfer of CRM data and processes to IBM's systems, while keeping everything up and running in the meantime. Key Projects:• Restructured User Roles, Profiles, and Sharing Rules to set up visibility restrictions to comply with directives from management and Legal• Designed and implemented process to import and update opportunities from IBM's CRM into Salesforce on a weekly basis, appending all data and assigning to the proper Trusteer sales rep• Led from the Trusteer side to work with IBM integration teams for customer migration and CRM migration• Assisted other IBM integration teams as needed, including integration / migration of support, entitlements, training content / enablement, and sales engineering

I joined Trusteer while they were experiencing rapid growth and immediately took full ownership of all Salesforce development and administration duties. This required responding to shifting priorities and working with peers both locally and in Israel, where Trusteer's Support and Product Development teams were located.Key Projects:• Designed and built product pricing and configuration process, allowing sales reps to use a custom Visualforce page to set up product line items for opportunities, set discount levels and request discount approval• Automated territory assignment based on geography, product segment, and email domains for leads and accounts using custom objects and Apex Triggers• Implemented process for setting up new users to ensure required information provided and approval of user setup documented

Role: Rejoined company to take ownership of stalled implementation of Salesforce.com and lead application group along with two direct reports and one contractor, taking full responsibility for all administration, design, development and support for Salesforce.com implementation with 60+ usersKey Projects:• Custom Visualforce page integrating account and lead data with Google Maps, allowing email merges based on proximity to specified locations• Automated generation and electronic signature of quotations and proposals using a combination of Conga Composer, Docusign, and custom functionality• Created custom Visualforce page allowing streamlined configuration of product components for easier selection of complex opportunity product line item combinations• Scheduled overnight processes to update sales data and asset information using Scheduled Apex code• Designed architecture for custom objects, workflow and Visualforce pages to support technical service activities and billing resulting from won opportunities and service calls

Role: Initially hired as a Project Manager, quickly moved on to Business Systems Analyst role, which included more direct design and development workKey Projects:• Implemented company intranet in Microsoft SharePoint, including customized homepage and employee information site• Acted as primary SharePoint resource for the company, set up and maintained sites, and trained departments on design and use of team sites, wikis and blogs• Designed and implemented bi-weekly process for updating several key systems with employee data from company HRIS, including integrations with externally hosted applications• Created online certification tool to handle 302 sub-certifications for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and assisted with additional certification processes and development of a repository for all corporate policies and procedures

Role: Full ownership of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Access based applications, including development, administration and trainingKey Projects:• Designed and developed custom CRM solution, which enabled scheduling, communication tracking, and integrated visibility of sales and service call information• Re-engineered process of sending quarterly mailings by automating generation of mail-merges and individualized emails• Replaced paper-based product setup process with automated workflow application, reducing review and approval time for new product initializations and product changes• Created HR solution for tracking employee time out of office, automating routing of employee requests and generating quarterly management summary reports

Role: Custom development of Lotus Notes and web-based applications for the Real Estate departmentKey Projects:• For Real Estate evaluation application, overhauled complex date processing logic to increase modularity, ease of maintenance, and performance, and created feature for non-technical personnel to update previously hard-coded date processing rules• Created custom Excel export tool enabling users to select multiple search parameters and output columns, automatically transferring output file to specified location at user-defined intervals• Developed process to automatically generate individualized weekly summaries of date-specific tasks and deliver them via email, dramatically reducing time spent, ensuring completion tasks, and automating distribution of weekly senior management oversight reports • Automated generation of quarterly summaries of contract execution dates and other legal information necessary to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley disclosure requirements

Role: Developing custom Lotus Notes applications in support of client engagements for email and data hostingKey Projects:• In support of 27,000 seat email hosting contract, created email approval workflow solution which allowed administrators to screen dealer communications and automatically stripped and transferred file attachments to a central server, thus enabling consolidation of data and enforcement of file archiving and expiration policies• Created web-based portal allowing users to sign up, edit information, upload photos and company logos, search for users and articles within the system, and opt to receive periodic informational emails from client

Role: Custom development of Lotus Notes and web applications for clients, and building out enhancements for existing productsKey Projects:• Designed and implemented client-specific customizations and base application enhancements for venture capital solution that allowed tracking of actual and potential portfolio companies• Created web-based submission and approval system for processing applications to present at venture capital conferences for women entrepreneurs, replacing cumbersome snail-mail based process

Role: Custom development of database applications for corporate clients using the Lotus Notes and Domino platformKey Projects:• Created a material request tracking system for international restaurant chain that securely moved requests through an approval process, allowing headquarters to track loans to individual restaurants from collection of more than 60,000 items of memorabilia • Worked full-time for one year on-site at another international restaurant chain as primary Lotus Notes resource, rebuilding and extending functionality for several departments, primarily Accounting and Purchasing Operations
