JLM moved to its current headquarters in Larkspur, CO early in 1986. After the move to Larkspur, JLM shifted its focus from smaller mail order type products to more specialized government service related items.JLM Products & Design, Inc. currently operates two production facilities in the Colorado Front Range area. It's Larkspur Plant is a 7500 square foot facility focused primarily on wood product fabrication and manufacturing as well as Cetotex High Density Wood Fiber Fabrication used in high level radioactive material containment systems. It's Castle Rock plant provides an additional 5000 square feet of floor space and manufactures high level radioactive waste containment components used for former weapons production facility decommissioning, as well as production and fabrication of special weapons shipping containment systems. While at JLM, my primary duties were as a Certified Welding Inspector and welding program manager focused on GTAW welding of various stainless steel alloys. I also acted at the program manager for our numerous nuclear weapons support system programs. These programs were primarily focused on the safe handling and storage of critical components used in the manufacture and deployment of our nuclear national defense arsenal.

Stationed in Groton, CT, Pearl Harbor, HI, Portsmouth, NH.My duties as a Submarine Radioman aboard one of our Los Angeles Class Fast Attack Submarines included the care and maintenance of a wide range of communications equipment ranging from extremely low frequency (ELF) through very low frequency (VLF), low frequency (LF), medium high frequency (MHF), high frequency (HF), very high frequency (VHF), to extremely high frequency (EHF) equipment covering both voice and data communications. Collateral duties included acting as both the Secret and Top Secret Material Control Officer responsible for more than 1000 individual pieces of classified material. I also held various watch positions both underway and in port.While with the USS New York City, I was fortunate enough to be a member of the decommissioning crew while the command was dissolved and the ship converted from active duty to inactive status.
