• As telemetry technician – monitor 30-40+ patients in PCU, med-surg, ER, & geri-obs units from centralized observation room. Observe, interpret, and document rhythms in EMR. Set and adjust individual alarm parameters accordingly. Immediately call nurse upon adverse events. Attentively document dysrhythmic changes and multi-beat ectopies as they occur, in addition to general strip interpretation every 4 hours. Present rhythm activity overviews to cardiologists. Place/fix electrodes & leads for nearby patients as available.• As PCA in 32-bed PCU – perform all routine phlebotomy starting with AM draws. Round 7-10 assigned patients every 2 hours to record vital signs, check blood glucose, assist with food ordering & feeding as needed, hygiene including bathing, toileting, perineal/catheter care, oral care. Record the above in EMR as well as patient-reported pain level and general health observations.
