About Scott E. Kalb

Mr Kalb is the former CIO and Deputy CEO of Korea's $200 billion Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC). During his tenure (2009-2012), the KIC introduced a new risk-based investment model, initiated public and private investments across the globe, and tripled AUM from $19 billion to nearly $60 billion. Currently, Mr Kalb serves as Director of the Responsible Asset Allocator Initiative at the Fletcher School, the graduate school of global affairs at Tufts University. The RAAI rates the world's 300 largest asset owners on their responsible investing practices, and publishes the RAAI Leaders List and Index. It also provides research and unique programming to help asset allocators as they think through the next stages of their responsible investing programs.In addition, Mr. Kalb is CEO and founder of KLTI Advisors, a consulting firm that specializes in working with sovereign wealth and public pension funds. KLTI works with the World Bank / IFC on developing capital markets and pension systems in emerging economies around the world. Mr. Kalb is Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Bright Feeds, an innovative food-waste-to-animal-feed circular economy firm that saves millions of dollars in waste disposal costs and removes hundreds of thousands of metric tons of carbon from the atmosphere. Mr. Kalb also serves as the Chairman of the Sovereign Investor Institute (SII) of Institutional Investor, and a world-leading community for global sovereign and government funds. Mr. Kalb serves on the Advisory Board of the Private Capital Research Institute, a Harvard Business School initiative, and is a duly elected representative to the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) of Greenwich CT. He is BET rep to the Greenwich Retirement System, and serves on the Boards of the Greenwich OPEB Trust and the Greenwich Temple Sholom Endowment. Mr. Kalb lived in Asia for 15 years, speaks Korean, has a BA Degree from Oberlin College and an MA Degree from Harvard.
