My goal is to help educators obtain high-quality information to enable evidence-based education.I have helped 75+ companies in assessment, edtech and publishing--from startups to large publishers, each with its own unique character and challenges. I have been effective in accurately and quickly understanding their needs and systematically working through their challenges. From traditional print to cutting edge AI technology, I have implemented a solution to fit their specific needs.I founded and currently lead SEG Measurement, a provider of assessment development and effectiveness research services. Before SEG, I helped build the leading teacher assessment organization, turned around a large, failing national assessment program, started an internet education company and launched the first online large-scale assessment program, and developed Intellimetric, the first commercially successful AI-based, open-ended question scoring application.I earned my Doctorate in measurement, research, and policy from UMASS Amherst after earning my Masters in instructional communication research at WVU.
