Design and Build Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor

I am currently working as a Project Engineer for SHAPE Australia in the Queensland office. My role responsibilities and skills include:- Managing the safe, profitable and timely delivery of projects. - Autonomous project management of full project life cycle.- Understanding and critical review of documentation and shop drawings. - Defining of project scopes and work packages and providing value engineering solutions where possible. - Management of project finance.- Understand and comply with relevant policies and practices.- Experience in delivering projects between $250K - $10M+. - Contract administration - Well-developed experience in project methodology and programming. - Develop and maintain positive end-user relationships. - Quality management and defect minimisation. In the Estimator role I was responsible for securing new work for the SHAPE by preparing tenders or fee proposals. I would engage subcontractors/suppliers who have a proven track record in producing high quality work who are price competitive and suitable for the project's size and type.Some of the successful projects that I estimated include: - Australian Federal Police - Project Jupiter Gold Coast. - Australian Bureau of Statistics - Regis Aged Healthcare Facility. - John Flynn Private Hospital (refer to the attached case study)
