Scott embraces the principles of being a Servant Leader and believes his purpose is to create positive changes in the broader community by encouraging growth from within. Through strong communication skills, creative problem solving, and a commitment to accountability, Scott collaborates with DataHouse and client teams to deliver solutions that foster continuous growth. In his role as Chief Security Architect, Scott leads the strategic design, implementation, and management of the DataHouse Security Program. Leveraging years of experience in policy development, risk management, and technical and process improvement, Scott is responsible for ensuring DataHouse and our clients are proactively planning for and preventing cyberattacks, maintaining an optimal security posture, and are prepared to respond and recover from incidents, outages, or disasters. No responsible organization leaves cybersecurity to chance. DataHouse has comprehensive cybersecurity measures in place, but as a company that focuses on innovation and digital transformation, we also know that security controls cannot stifle or slow progress. A strategic security practice must be designed to enable and support achieving business objectives. To accomplish this it is necessary for security leaders to be actively engaged in business strategy and planning in order to align business objectives with security needs. Scott successfully led the design and implementation of the DataHouse Information Security Management System that has been certified to meet ISO27001 standards and is a Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP). Beyond DataHouse and its clients, Scott enthusiastically supports educational causes and was active on the Hawaii Department of Education's Career and Technical Education Professional Advisory Committee. He also serves as Board President for PATCH (People Attentive to Children), a Hawaii non-profit dedicated to supporting early education and childcare services.
