• Collaborated daily with a cross-functional engineering team consisting of mechanical, systems, software, and electrical engineers, as well as project and product management, both local and internationally. Primary tasks involved the development of new products, testing of new system components and technologies, and the support of new products as they transition from the development phase to the life cycle management phase. • Local expert on motion control for new machine design which incorporated elastic elements into the drives for isolating the measurement probe from drive noise. Responsible for ensuring stability of machines under U.S. design control.• Developed test plans, analyzed test data, and produced test reports.• Co-developed software-based strategy for measuring airfoils on new interferometry-based optical measurement system, which involved the development of dozens of new routines to handle tasks such as data manipulation and scan path planning. This measurement strategy currently has a pending patent. Additionally, conducted extensive system accuracy evaluation & improvement, including the characterization of thermal drift of a fourth, rotary axis and of the optical probes used on the system.• Key member of team aimed at troubleshooting and solving complex and unfamiliar system issues when they arise using problem solving and analytical skills.

• Conducted custom sales demonstrations for customers spanning numerous industries. • Wrote product-specific CMM measurement programs for customer part inspection.• Taught training classes on PC-DMIS measurement software and metrology concepts for customers. • Provided advanced onsite support for customers.

Performed an engineering internship in Germany at ZF, a major supplier of transmissions for automobiles and trucks, as well as steering systems, suspension systems, etc. Projects were aimed at gear grinding process optimization and best practice analysis for gear grinding and will ultimately save ZF money by streamlining their manufacturing techniques.

Everyday tasks included performing hardware repairs on laptop computers, fixing various software-related problems, and providing customer assistance.
