Director Of Information Technology
As the Director of Information Technology, I am the product owner/scrum master of the IT Scrum team. As product owner I am responsible for overseeing and shepherding several technical aspects of Retailer Web Services, I oversee the IT Help Desk keeping our 100 employees up and running as functioning workers. I oversee the building, maintaining, and installation of our 30+ servers in our data center; these servers serve over 6 million-page views daily. As Scrum Master I shepherd the large overarching project arcs forward, such as converting our employees from desktop computers to laptops allowing them to work from anywhere, researching and implementing the latest technologies to keep everyone as productive as possible, a project to clean up and reorganize our server infrastructure with no downtime for our customers, and more. As a Director and member of the management team I work with the other Directors and Officers of the company to set long term goals and plans for the organization.I also oversee the teams responsible for Data Entry and gathering the product data. We have a product database of over 1500 brands and 3.5 million products that must be normalized into the same format, classified, and tagged with additional product attributes. This work needs to be completed quickly and accurately to meet the high standards of our organization.
