At CWWC I filled a unique role among a fleet of engineers getting the shop into the 21st Century of cabinet making. Through effective utilization of the Microvellum suite of software and time saving CNC programming techniques, overall production efficiency improved markedly.

At this cabinet shop I was charged with implementation of Microvellum's suite of software, training of the draftsman in creation of custom & library products, and process changes regarding "part" production.

As a design engineer at RCS, I had many responsibilities in this mid-size international retail fixture manufacturer. Taking salesman's bid drawings and redrawing them with accurate contruction details was first. Next, it was producing a set of drawings to be used by the builders on the shop floor. After that, each piece of the fixture that required machining is "programmed" for the CNC machines. As the fixture was going through these phases, I would check them periodically for quality and accuracy. Communication was essential, from executives to fork lift drivers to vendors & suppliers. Software knowlege was crucial, from MS Office suite to AutoCAD to Microvellum to various CNC related programs. Through dynamic leadership, I had a large role in improving manufacturing capabilities and quality.

Determining the correct layout out of new stores, using primarily AutoCAD Architectural Desktop to create working drawings of all the store's fixtures & systems.Creation of blueprints for new store layouts in AutoCAD.Responsible for fixture layout, finish, electrical, & HVAC plans, sections, and elevations.Responsible for communication with outside vendors.Meeting with managers and department heads to discuss process improvements and standards implementation.
