Primary Tuberculosis Analyst

Brewery Microbiologist:General Duties: At Pateros Creek Brewing Company my main goals are to research and develop new QA/QC measures within the brewing process via Microbiology/ Biochemistry techniques. General duties include media selection, applying samples wort/beer in various aspects of brewing production to media, analyzing results of media after incubation, and determining appropriate actions to be taken based on results of media test. Other duties include Isolation of microbes on media, Gram staining, performing various tests (i.e. peroxidase test, oxidase test, catalase) for identification. Writing protocols for cleaning the Brewhouse (Mash-tun/ Lautuer Tun and Kettle, Fermentors, Bright Tanks, and Tap Lines). Also, following fermentation from start to finish via pH, Cell counts, cell viability testing, monitoring gravities, and providing data to head and master brewers.Outlaw BrewerOverall Description: To develop experimental beer, to be on a weekly tap in the tasting room, which is known as the "Outlaw Tap".

As a brewer at the Pumphouse Brewery my main role was to take responsibility for raw materials, operatives and technicians while maintaining the safe and effective running of the plant and machinery. Developing new recipes and products and checking temperatures and quality of samples and making any necessary production adjustmentsAlso includes, but not limited to: Working with the laboratory team who carry out further tests to improve the product, Introducing new or different methods of brewing, Finding new suppliers and reviewing existing onesaccurately recording raw materials, production stage timings and quality checksmanaging resources and staff to meet objectives. Working on new recipes for seasonal and specialty beers ensuring they appeal to a certain market, or will enhance sales at a specific time of the year. Helping to design beer labels or marketing materials , planning budgets, keeping track of stock and records of raw materials, cleaning and maintaining all equipment and keeping up to date with developments in technology in the industry.

Organic Synthesis of Quinone Compounds-I was responsible for successfully understanding and running, Column Chromatography, Thin Layer Chromatography, and HNMR analysis. Also, I was responsible for performing reduction reactions on quinone compounds followed by purification for the team leader.
