-Oversaw seven university departments: University Housing, University Dining Services, University Centers, Student Health Services, Police & Parking Services, Campus Sustainability, and Campus Card & Student Life Technology-Developed and administered a $30 million budget, including operations, capital, debt service, and purchasing-Served as a liaison between Student Life Service departments and the University-Created a strategic plan for Student Life Services; developed initiatives to support the strategic plan of the University-Supervised a team of over 1,000 full- and part-time employees, including 10 direct reports-Planned and implemented multiple facility renovation and refurbishing projects-Developed a review process for all departments utilizing data from various assessment tools to augment departmental strengths, re-tooling areas needing enhancement, and developing process improvements-Generated ways to enhance marketing efforts for the departments and served as a catalyst for division-wide initiatives

-Managed all functions of a housing department serving 3,000 residents on a campus of 9,500 students-Developed an $11 million budget, including operations, capital, debt service, purchasing, and expenditure tracking-Created a long-range vision for the department; developed goals to support the strategic plan of the University-Supervised a team of over 200 full- and part-time employees, including 18 professional staff members (4 direct reports)-Led the recruitment and selection process for all professional staff-Coordinated multiple facility renovation and refurbishing projects; developed a $100 million long-range master plan-Created a First Year Experience program and a Next Experience program designed to help both new and continuing students find success and develop incremental independence-Directed the marketing efforts of the department, including the creation of a five-person student graphic design office

-Led a team of 250+ full-time and part-time staff-Supervised professional staff in residential life, room assignments, technology, marketing, and business operations-Designed and implemented a professional staff recruitment and selection process; developed training programs for new and continuing staff, including regular workshops for on-going staff development-Established a first-year experience program, global village (for international and American students), year-two program (for sophomore students), and an upper-class living environment-Created and managed effective marketing strategies, departmental assessment tools, customer satisfaction surveys, focus groups, a graphic design team, and departmental/campus publications-Developed and managed a $7 million budget, directed the student discipline process, and collaboratively created a new student orientation program-Coordinated responses to student crises, including mental health issues, sexual assaults, and suicide attempts-Taught “Introduction to University Life,” a course to help first year students adjust to campus life; co-created and instructed a six-week Emerging Leaders seminar
