Served as the Principal Gifts & Major Gifts Officer for a portfolio of over 250 donors giving $50,000+ including individuals, foundations, corporations of all sizes, nationwide. Facilitated gifts of cash, stock and planned gifts. Documented all relationships in CRM database. Assisted with events including concerts ($750k revenue) and Galas ($1M revenue). Point of contact for all third-party fundraisers nationwide. Coordinated and wrote grant applications and served on a small team that raised over $30 million each year before being laid off with several others due to organization wide restructure.

As the Chief Executive, I worked with the volunteer Board of Directors and supervised a Management Team and staff of 14 FT and 28 PT employees to further the mission of this well-established nonprofit organization dedicated to child abuse prevention and strengthening and supporting families. My duties also included all administration, fund development, grant writing, marketing and branding, HR, community development and strategic planning. Served as the Chair of the statewide Utah Association of Family Support Centers and led an effort to certify all centers in the National Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening & Support. Served on statewide Protective Factors for Utah Families Steering Committee.

● Developed and implemented strategic plans for fundraising in collaboration with the CEO and Board of Directors.● Member of the KOTM Executive Management Team which met regularly in strategic planning and decision-making for day to day operations of the organization.● Managed all external relationships with stakeholders and partners of the organization and administered the CRM software system to document and track progress.● Developed and oversaw all Public Relations efforts including the web, written materials, interpersonal communications, special events and tours of the building.● Represented KOTM in the community and with corporate and community partners.● Coordinated internal operations including internships, building and IT functions/staff.

Served as Interim Executive Director in addition to Development Director duties while the board undertook some strategic planning and recruited a new CEO. Supervised the members of the Executive Management Team and led day to day operations of this amazing place to work with such an stellar staff of professionals who literally impact thousands of lives each year!

While I still keep an active Life Insurance Producer's license, I usually only consult with close friends and family. Appointed by then Governor Michael O. Leavitt and Lt. Governor Olene S. Walker to improve communities through service and volunteering in Utah. Coordinated the work and membership of the Governor's Commission, made up of 25 members appointed by the Governor and chaired by the Lt. Governor. The Commission’s main responsibilities are to coordinate all National and Community Service in the state by administering AmeriCorps programs and Citizen Corps efforts in the state, including granting federal funds to local communities. In addition, it oversees America’s Promise efforts and supports the network of 20 Volunteer Centers throughout the state.
