Scott has a diverse background in both software and aerospace engineering. Born and raised near Jackson, Michigan, he attended Western High School where he developed a passion for programming, teaching himself languages such as C++, Basic, and JavaScript at a young age. He started it first software consulting business while in 8th grade, landing a civic engineering firm in Lansing, MI as his first client.At age 17, Scott earned his Private Pilot certificate with 170 hours and 6 years of flight experience. While in college, he recognized the need for high-speed internet in his community and started a Wireless ISP to provide access where there was none.Scott went on to earn a Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Spring Arbor University and pursued PhD graduate studies at the University of Georgia. However, he deferred his PhD to pursue an iPad utility app that ultimately had 1.5 million users. After exiting the app in 2012, Scott started his first venture capital-backed company, raising $2.5 million and serving as CEO for 3 years.In 2015, Scott started his second VC-backed company, Techmate, which was admitted to the Y Combinator S16 batch. He served as CTO for 3 years before transitioning to Sales Engineering in AI, where he worked with high-profile clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Walmart, Chanel, Nestle, and others.Scott's expertise in aerospace engineering has led him to work with NASA on several projects. He has conducted research on the feasibility of onboard AI neural networks in deep space missions, and has been involved in the R&D of autonomous on-orbit rendezvous with non-cooperative targets.Scott currently serves as the VP of Engineering and Head of Space at Gluwa, a financial technology company that operates Creditcoin (CTC), a cryptocurrency that enables lending to borrowers in the emergent market. Under his management, Gluwa is actively pursuing new business in on-orbit technologies to better serve the emerging world (more details to come in 2024).Through his accomplishments and experiences, Scott has established himself as a leader and innovator in both the technology and aerospace industries, as well as in the field of financial technology and cryptocurrency.
