With over 31 years of experience in the insurance industry, I have developed the skills to be a top performing claims handler. While at State Farm Insurance Company in my position as a claims specialist, I independently handled a large workload of litigation files for various states. I worked closely with defense counsel analyzing risks and making decisions on whether a case should be settled or taken to trial. I also reviewed hundreds of disputed claims between insurance companies as an arbitrator rendering binding decisions on each file.In addition to my experiences as an individual claims handler, I also worked in a team atmosphere where large workloads were shared among the team. In this capacity, there was no file ownership and I did a variety of tasks to help team members and move those files to closure.While at James River Insurance Company, I handled a workload of complicated, large exposure commercial automobile litigation claims.
