A recognized expert & author on virtualization, clustering, cloud computing, file systems & storage, end user computing, multi-cloud management and cloud native applications, Mr. Davis has held senior engineering and business management roles during his career with both startup ventures and established industry firms. Notable earlier roles included President and Co-Founder of Virtual Iron Software, which was acquired by Oracle as the core of OracleVM and Digital Equipment Corporation where he began his career and eventually rose to Technical Director for the industry-acclaimed VAXCluster and VMS Volume Shadowing products, as well as founding DEC’s Windows NT clustering project (sold to Microsoft as the genesis of Microsoft ‘Wolfpack’ Cluster Server). Scott is an inventor with 21 patents spanning a variety of computer science disciplines and his products have won awards at VMworld, Demo, Linuxworld and Comdex.
