About Scott Henderson
I’m a trained organizational psychologist who loves to engage in complex challenges requiring multiple perspectives, strategic thinking, and learning to help leaders optimize their organizational culture, team effectiveness, and employee experience. My first exposure to the kind of work I love was as a project manager for a small consulting firm. I worked on projects exposing me to change management, mergers and acquisitions, and DEI. After some time I knew I wanted to become an SME so I applied to graduate school and earned my MA from Columbia University in Organizational Psychology. While in grad school I began a part-time position at LifeLabs Learning as a leadership trainer and facilitator. I taught executives, managers, and contributors the essentials for creating an effective work-place and organization (e.g., how to coach, give feedback, create and organize a seamless work-flow, have effective 1:1s, strategically think, have effective meetings, behave inclusively, develop others, etc.)My first full-time role after grad school was at PepsiCo doing talent analytics for their beverages side of the business. I spent hours in Microsoft Excel and Tableau doing calculations, creating visualizations, and designing dashboards that helped the organization make more accurate and faster decisions.I loved the balance of strengthening my hard skills at PepsiCo while getting to focus on my soft skills at LifeLabs Learning.In my next role, I'm looking for something that requires me to do just that. Leverage both my hard- and soft- skills. I want to own meaningful and impactful work.
