Mar 2000 - Nov 2005Reston, Virginia (Va), UsI was the technical lead for a team of engineers in VeriSign's Payment Services group, which formed based on the acquisition of Signio, and VPS became the market leader in merchant payment gateway space. I led several large projects for VPS, including the redesign of all of the web applications to conform to VeriSign's emerging technology standards. Eventually, all of VPS's web applications were ported to the technology we developed, which was based on a Java (J2EE, WebLogic, XSL) framework. These applications were used to manage the transactions for over 100,000 internet merchants processing an average of 1.7 million transactions per day. -

I replaced the team lead of the web applications team within 2 months of starting in the group and led the team of three other engineers in re-architecting the company's largest web application (Signio Manager). We ported it from a C++-/ISAPI application to a ColdFusion-based application.
