I oversaw the daily project management needs of a high-intensity demolition and breaching range. As part of my day-to-day duties, I provide direct engineering solutions to range assets while also budgeting for, procuring and maintaining the materials necessary to run a successful course on the range. I have a 100% success rate for completing these tasks on time and within budget.

As a Marine Corps recruiter, I effectively balanced the multi-faceted demands of a dynamic work environment that included public speaking, cold calling, arranging and conducting appointments, maintaining strict documentation for each potential candidate, following strict processing guidelines for each candidate, records acquisition, and data input. I was consistently recognized for maintaining exemplary enlistment rates, for demonstrating excellent teamwork, and for my dependability.

I successfully brought together personnel and additional assets to develop an effective and successful combat engineer support team. I identified shortfalls, safety issues and standards, and provided extensive training to personnel both internal and external to the support unit while working within the constraints of a strict budget. Additionally, I provided instruction (with the assistance of a translator) to over 160 individuals in support of a cross-organizational initiative.

I developed and strategically led 15 different projects, successfully completing them by the strict timelines set forth by upper management. At the same time, I also ensured the safety and well-being of assigned personnel. I also engineered a cost-saving solution to an agricultural overgrowth issue, saving the organization over $300,000 while still delivering the desired results within the mandated timeline.

During my time in this role, I led up to 20 combat engineers at a time in different capacities while maintaining the same objective of optimal performance, safety, and mission completion. I was in charge of intercepting and deterring the placement of improvised explosive devices (IED) by terrorist organizations in Iraq, which I successfully managed by leading reconnaissance missions to determine points of vulnerability, reporting back team findings to upper management, developing a solution to interrupt nefarious activities, and leading my team back out to set those solutions in place. I also trained, led, and mentored 12 Marines during one of the most hostile military conflicts of the modern age in Sangin, Afghanistan. My individual efforts and successes in leadership and job performance were recognized by the organization and I was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device for going above and beyond expectations.
