About Scott Holcomb
I am always proud to say "I'm just a teacher," a 27-year urban educator who, after over twenty years serving Memphis Shelby County Schools (Memphis City Schools), decided to take another Education journey as the lead EdTech Imagineer (Director of Technology/Nerdiest Teacher on the team) at an innovative, diverse by design, project-based public charter school in the midtown area of Memphis, Tennessee built inside a 1.5 million square foot retail space, a vertical village.I am an Educator who continually works to help Educators better integrate instructional technology into their daily classroom, school, and district-wide practices. My nerdy educator passions include hardware, esports, Ai, personalized, and blended learning models, all relevant to Instructional Technology in PreK-12 education. I am a staunch advocate of blending technology and Play into learning "Plearning"- not making technology an external, but rather a tool for the facilitation of ideas to support and foster student and teacher development and achievement. Outside of virtual learning and instructional technology, I'm always pursuing what's new and innovative in EdTech, Tech, and Digital photography. I am a huge Disney World fan, I love to travel and I'm a proud but truly humbled member of the Space Camp Hall of Fame- class of 2016 cast of Space Camp the movie.
Listed skills include Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Staff Development, and 46 others.
