Mr. Scott Hounsell graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Cum Laude with a BS in Biomedical Engineering, earning his degree in three years. He currently works as a quantitative equity research analyst at Fox Run Management, LLC. Prior to this, he was a quantitative research intern at AlphaParity, LLC implementing and testing trading signals and asset allocation techniques using Python. As a previous summer intern at Alphadyne Asset Management, Scott developed pricing methods and risk analyses for various derivative instruments in C#. Scott continued his internship during the Fall 2015 semester with the Front Office Development Team managing quantitative Python libraries. Scott was the captain of the Baruch MFE team that won the 2015 IAQF Student Competition. In prior work at Capital One Financial, Scott used statistical analysis to assess the effectiveness of changes in website design on customer activity. Scott has an excellent command of C#, R, and SQL with additional experience in Python and MATLAB. Alongside strong mathematical intuition and adeptness in tackling multi-faceted problems, Scott has excellent communication and leadership skills and all the tools to excel in client-facing positions.
