The Facilities Department is responsible for the planning, renovation, cleaning, furnishing and maintenance of the district’s 73 buildings, 7.7 million square feet, and over 500 acres of land to provide students, staff and community members with high-quality, safe physical environments.The Assistant Director role involves direct supervision of the custodial, maintenance, and distribution (trucking) teams which total 445 full time employees spanning 17 union bargaining groups.Our efforts are a key component in the preservation of public assets totaling $2.9 Billion.

Responsible for the operations department, tenant satisfaction and guest safety in two office towers totaling 800,000+ sq. ft., a 225 room hotel and an indoor, multi-level 1,000 stall parking facility. Managed, directly and indirectly, a staff of 4 employees and more than 40 contract personnel with an annual budget of $1 million.
