Leader of WTHR digital platforms including WTHR.com, WTHR News and Weather apps, OTT apps and social media. A member of the newsroom and station management team. Developed and executed digital content strategies across all platforms. Managed and tracked analytics and brought real time data and social discovery visualizations into the newsroom. Set goals and coached the digital team to record breaking traffic, including a 92% increase in unique users, a 308% increase in video consumption and topping comScore's local multi-platform rankings for Indianapolis media. Oversaw the merging of newsroom work groups into a unified digital desk operation. Managed the relaunch of WTHR.com on a responsive website in 2016. Oversaw WTHR's climb to the top of Indianapolis social media rankings and one of the most engaging social media TV stations in the country, including a finish as the 3rd most engaging NBC affiliate and the 24th most engaging US media property on Facebook. Launched a community outreach micro-giving initiative that raised over $400,000 for local nonprofits. Managed multiple podcasts, enterprise content initiatives, and innovative technology improvements including the creation of a distribution management system inside the WTHR.com CMS and an Emmy award-winning election results presentation system for both broadcast and digital. Led the WTHR.com efforts that won numerous best website awards from the Indiana Associated Press, Indiana Society of Professional Journalists and the Indiana Broadcasters Association, as well as the 2020 Regional Murrow Award for Multimedia journalism and an Emmy for Interactive Media coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic. Contributed to an investigation that won a 2016 George Foster Peabody Award and a 2017 duPont-Columbia Award. He served on the NBC Affiliate OTT/Digital Subcommittee and the Indiana Broadcasters Association Young Professionals committee.
