I started Judo when I was eight years old, JKD/Kung Fu/Arnis in my 30's and finally obtained my first black belt in the Filipino art of Arnis (Escrima/Kali) at 47 years of age. I likely could have done it earlier but I wasn't focused on belts or certifications. It was only at this age that I decided that I wanted to teach.
