For CTSi I act as the software team lead for the UPneXt Next generation IFF interrogation system. As the software team lead for the UPneXt project I meet with with the government customer to derive requirements from the customer provided requirements, provide progress reports to show the software teams progress, develop designs for the requested software, and provide options and recommendation's when design issues occur. I assign and monitor tasking for the software team, enforce coding standards, run regular code reviews and stand up meetings, and provide guidance to the programmers on the team when they have problems.I also act as the senior programmer on the project, developing the most complex code required by the project.

For NAVAIR I created a Puppet script designed to deploy a fully configured and secured isolated lab for pilot training. This script was designed to automatically deploy virtual Linux computers, install and configure security software like NagiosLS, NagiosXI, and ACAS, configure the computers so they conform to the current STIG requirements, and offload logging data onto other virtual computers.I also configured 8 Guntermann & Drunck's KVM matrix switches connecting them into a grid so the computers added could be accessed from any lab, setup the user and group settings to grant access, configured trade-switching, and provided support to the Man Flight Simulator lab users.In addition, I created a C++/QT application that allowed the users of the Man Flight Simulator labs to control the displays in the labs and cockpits.

I worked for AMEWAS as a contractor to the government for over 17 years as a computer programmer and modeling & simulation specialist. I was one of the primary developers of the JIMM (Joint Integrated Mission Model) simulation environment engine.As a developer of JIMM, my responsibilities included designing and developing new features and capabilities, testing and evaluating the correctness of the code, creating distributions of the code, merging in client patches, resolving errors, providing customer support, and creating scripts, interfaces, and tools to expand the base model’s capabilities. I have added many capabilities to JIMM including Earth models, terrain, cyber warfare, tactical stimuli, sensor/communication enhancements, and jamming.OTHER DUTIESOther duties include training and directing new team members, filling in for the software technical lead when he is unavailable, and tracking and assigning team milestonesMy responsibilities have also included conducting several research studies. I examined and presented a report on the JSAF (Joint SemiAutomated Forces) environment engine to determine its ability to run large subsurface warfare scenarios. I was also part of a team tasked with performing a Modeling and Simulation Gap Analysis in relation to C4ISR capabilities. This included analyzing the various modeling tools available for their ability to model C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), collecting data, and assisting the project lead in writing the report.
