I am a Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Kimelman & Baird, a registered investment advisor and broker-dealer with ~$1 billion in assets under management. As a senior member of the leadership team, I serve on the firm’s investment and compliance committees. Bringing over 30 years of markets experience, my responsibilities include portfolio construction, risk management and asset allocation.I have been responsible for driving strategic initiatives, ranging from private equity type investments in the public markets on small cap, high growth companies to securing financing and capital raising for our small cap investments. In addition, evolving our firm’s focus on serving our core client base and integrating financial life management as part of our bespoke offerings has been a key strategic initiative for our leadership team.Together with the firm’s investment and client relations team, I have been instrumental in driving the firm’s core values in fundamental research. Trained as a research analyst, my focus remains on conducting deep-dive research into company fundamentals through management meetings, industry conferences and trade shows.
