Responsible for building the volunteer ground game in the city of Hopewell and the counties of Prince George & Dinwiddie. This involves recruiting volunteers and coordinating them into Neighborhood Teams. Each team's designated leadership is trained to hold multiple canvassing, voter registration, and recruitment activities each week, which I oversee and assist in coordinating.

I worked directly for the Senior Advisor for China Policy in the Policy and Strategic Planning Office. In that capacity, I assisted in coordinating department-wide initiatives and approaches to various aspects of the Sino-US economic relationship. Projects that were either initiated or completed include an analysis of market access and competition issues involved US firms operating in markets with Chinese State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), research into non-tariff barriers to bilateral trade, services export growth, and macro trends in the Chinese economy. Later, I moved to the Chief of Staff's office when my supervisor was asked to serve as an acting Deputy Chief of Staff. My responsibilities and exposure to different component agencies and responsibilities within the department expanded accordingly. I gained knowledge and experience in areas including department-wide budgeting processes, inter-agency cooperation, event planning and advance, and legislative affairs.
