In third grade, I made my first VFX film for the school science fair. I scratched Super 8 film to create lasers that shot from my pet rat's eyes as he looted a miniature town. The clay animated residents looked on in horror.I found out early that I loved animation, storytelling, visual effects, and all the places in which they collide.Since then, I have created animation and VFX for over 50 films, television shows, and commercials. Some highlights include The Matrix trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and the United Airlines "Heart" ad (winner of an Annie award for best animated commercial).I have directed the animation on projects for Disney, Dreamworks, and Sony. On the feature film, Chappie, I supervised 30 animators to create over 1000 shots in fewer than 7 months. The lead character, Chappie, was entirely key-framed, and integrating him into the film required constant collaboration with all other departments in the production pipeline. Our work earned a nomination for Best Animation by the Visual Effects Society.Lately, I have expanded into VR and other new technologies (see my personal VR project "Failure To Babyproof" here: https://vimeo.com/240561056#t=0). I've also picked up some new skills in motion graphics and compositing. My skill set is aimed at becoming a generalist, but my focus hasn't changed- great animation, powerful stories, and convincing visual effects.Software: Maya, After Effects, Unreal Engine, Unity, DragonFrame, Shotgun, Illustrator
Listed skills include Character Animation, Maya, Animation, Computer Animation, and 26 others.
