I began my time at FHM in 2002 as a website intern while a sophomore studying Computer & Information Science at NYC's Fordham University. My initial responsibilities included writing, producing, coding and designing various aspects of the magazine's website and its content. I eventually transitioned into a full-time freelancer role while also working to complete my degree as a full-time student at Fordham. Just prior to graduating, I was hired as Head of Digital for FHM and given a budget to build a full digital team.With amazing mentors and complete freedom to build and experiment within the walls of an established media brand, my new department was able to help drastically grow both print magazine subscriptions as well as the website's audience scale (and in turn, its ad revenues—transitioning digital from a loss-leader to a new, profitable revenue channel for FHM). As my team and department grew, my core focus transitioned to audience growth, content strategy, business development and team management. In January 2007 I led the brand’s strategic repositioning to an all-digital product and oversaw the entire U.S. edition of FHM.
