Led a team of computer science students to develop RiboScan™. Also Led a team of interdisciplinary students to conduct laboratory experiments to establish proof-of-concept for RiboScan™.RiboScan™ is web-based software incorporating the novel biophysical model for protein synthesis published in dx.doi.org/10.1109/GlobalSIP.2014.7032363 to provide accurate high-throughput screening of genes that are predicted to express well or poorly and novel gene design optimization to produce more of the desired protein candidates with fewer folding errors and protein aggregations by modulating ribosomal speed and accuracy on a codon-by-codon basis in the context of multiple protein expression parameters. RiboScan™ provides a graphical user interface to analyze, predict, modulate, and optimize endogenous or recombinant protein production.
