Hired to develop a new department within the TRA in 2010 to help association members with their workers compensation, health care and property and casualty insurance. Within 18 months our newly formed insurance department became the most profitable within the Association.While at the TRA, negotiated one of the top State Restaurant Associations insurance programs with McGriff, Seibels & Williams of Texas, the sixth largest national broker. The most pressing need in the industry is with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act which the Supreme Court upheld in 2012, with some provisions.
