Responsible for all aspects of family law cases, from retaining potential new clients through all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, planning case strategies, preparing for trials and making court appearances to the conclusion of the cases. Working as an individual within a team environment to meet individual billing goals while also helping to meet firm objectives.This is a hybrid position that primarily is worked remotely with the occasional office or live courtroom appearance. All office meetings occur virtually.

Represented numerous regulatory boards and commissions by drafting regulations and laws, litigating administrative enforcement actions, drafting procurement contracts and advising the commissioner regarding pending legislation.Represented the state's boxing program on matters related to the Mike Tyson/Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson/Clifford Etienne bouts.Re-wrote/amended the state's boxing laws.Re-wrote/amedned several state regulations of the boxing, real estate/contstruction, land surveying, and private security industries.Successfully litigated the first revocation actions of individual state contractor licenses in over a decade.

Duties included:• Authoring and signing final agency decisions in response to petitions to the USPTO’s Office of Petitions. This duty required the proper analysis of the legal issues involved in the case, and the drafting of a decision. Earned signatory authority for almost all decisions under the Office’s jurisdiction;• Training and mentoring newer Office attorneys while reviewing their work.• Educating the public and members of the bar regarding Office policies and procedures.• Answered inquiries by the public and by outside attorneys concerning USPTO policies and procedures.Specific achievements include:• Completing the USPTO University’s Intellectual Property Certification Program, covering Trademarks, Copyrights, Patents, and Trade Secrets.• Earning a rating of “outstanding” on final employee review. • Commended for creativity in rendering legal opinions on intellectual property law. • Commended for rapid dispatch of designated “hot” cases.• Earned on “on the spot” award for serving as acting supervisor of my unit during supervisor’s extended medical leave absence. Duties included attending management meetings, managing office workflow, approving attorney scheduling requests, interviewing candidates for new positions, and reviewing attorneys’ time sheets.
