Scott Lyle is COO of MEQ, and provides executive oversight for all operational aspects of the company and its portfolio of commercial real estate investments including retail, creative office and multifamily assets located across the Western United States. His primary focus is optimizing investor returns through a variety of comprehensive best practices developed over years of successful portfolio optimization as well as executing strategic initiatives across the organization.Scott has more than 20 years of experience driving successful returns and innovation in commercial real estate investments in major markets throughout the U.S. Formerly the COO at Arden Realty/GE Capital, Scott oversaw Arden’s operations during its transition from a Southern California-based office REIT into a national landlord, expansion into eight major markets and execution of more than $6 billion in real estate transactions. He created a set of customized standards that resulted in $16 million in operational savings and today remains a blueprint of excellence for the commercial real estate industry. He was also responsible for the company’s strategic tenant initiatives for every facet of occupancy and retention including satisfaction and expansion, areas in which he produced significant improvements in multiple portfolios.Scott is a recognized expert in commercial real estate energy efficiency and innovative approaches to sustainable practices that are good for the environment and the bottom line. In his role as a leader in sustainability, Scott has been invited to speak by key government officials in the City of Los Angeles, the State of California, the EPA and the California Energy Commission, as well as former Vice President Al Gore. In 2011, Scott addressed government, environmental and real estate professionals in Shanghai, China on sustainability strategies for commercial real estate portfolios.

Scott Lyle was Chief Operating Officer of Arden Realty, Inc., a national commercial real estate landlord and GE Capital Real Estate's U.S. property services platform. Arden/GE owned and operated a $5 billion dollar portfolio, including over 300 properties and 27 million square feet, completed over $500 million in capital projects and leased over 20 million square feet. in major markets throughout the United States. In his role, Scott led a national team of real estate professionals, including property management, leasing, construction management, mechanical services, engineering, portfolio analytics and sustainability in executing on Arden/GE’s day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives. Scott led the expansion and reorganization of Arden’s operational teams as the company grew from a formerly Southern California-based office REIT into a national landlord of office and industrial real estate, expanding the team into 8 major markets and executing on over $6 billion of real estate transactions in just 18 months.In 2011, Scott led a cross functional team at GECRE in the development of ArdenACCESS - an internet-based Enterprise Building Automation Platform that tracks energy usage and collects critical building systems data. In addition, ArdenACCESS was approved through GE's rigorous ecomagination certification process and was launched at assets in the European market.

Scott led the operational expansion and reorganization for Arden from a formerly Southern California-based REIT into a national office and industrial landlord: Successfully expanded into 5 markets integrating $3 Billion in assets, literally overnight. Also integrated mid-west office and national industrial platform while supporting $3 Billion in disposition activity, ultimately leading Arden operationally, at its peak, as a $5 Billion portfolio comprised of 27 million square feet of office and industrial assets. Scott designed and implemented a centralized operational organizational strategy as part of this expansion and reorganization, developing portfolio-wide Standard Operating Procedures, enhanced sourcing policies, automated tenant response systems and enhanced reporting, performance assessment and analytical capabilities. During this time, Scott also oversaw development and implementation of ArdenACCESS, an internet based Enterprise Building Automation Platform that was approved through GE’s rigorous ecomagination certification process.

As President & CEO of NEXT EDGE, Inc., a turnkey energy efficiency and power generation solutions provider for commercial facilities, Scott transformed the company from an initiative by it's parent company into a nationally recognized subsidiary that defined Integrated Energy Solutions as a new and revolutionary service category in the energy industry. Scott managed all aspects of the business’ growth and day-to-day operations including the development and rollout of a proprietary Energy Management System software solution capable of improving building-system energy performance by 50%. He also drove the company's market expansion from commercial office into strategic government and corporate accounts. Scott and this team worked with significant accounts including the City of San Diego, Japan Airlines, the State of California and Toyota.
